I wrote 500 lines of copy a day for Uber (this is Eva Delaney, by the way). For a while, I worked at a PR agency where I drafted 200 sponsored tweets every day and hated myself. I had insomnia from stress. I worked through migraines that made me puke just to earn a 1% raise.

Three things kept me going: unhealthy amounts of coffee, my dog Winnie (rest in peace), and writing fiction.

I dreamed of my fictional world every moment of the work day. Writing filled my soul as quickly as the job sucked it dry, like getting a blood transfusion while a vampire fed on me.

Not only that, it was a fuck you to a society that says we should grind ourselves to dust to make billionaires a bit richer because nothing matters.

So, I wrote about an ice-cream loving vampire who opened a cat rescue
and a biker chick who shifted into a raptor, because I could. Because they
couldn't stop me, even if it was just a few minutes here and there in between
surviving.

The soul crushing day job might be a necessity, but you don't live JUST to slave away at a pointless 9-5. You have stories to tell. Passion.

Dream, create, make things

Do it for the little you who loved to write, draw, and craft doll houses out of shoeboxes.

Go make something. Anything. If you're being creative, you're being human and giving a middle-finger to those who try to reduce us to dollar signs.

And if you don't know what to focus on, where to start, or what to do with the zero-gravity masquerade you just thought of, our workbooks will help. Just open and start crafting a story in the next ten minutes.

If you don't want them, that's good too. As long as you're making something, the world is better off.

Many of our customers are newer writers who appreciate the step-by-step guidance. Some are experienced authors who feel they need more structure for their many ideas.

The only ones who might not benefit are seasoned authors who already have their own writing systems.

What if I have questions about writing?

Your purchase comes with full support. If you're having a tough time writing or want to run ideas by someone, we're here to help.

Email info@scribeforge.com. We answer messages within 24 hours.

How is this different from other writing guides?

We don't believe in telling you WHAT to do. We believe in showing you EXACTLY HOW to create the story of your dreams.

Instead of lengthy explanations about what you should be doing, we get straight to the point with brief, actionable chapters. Then, we dive into HOW to create worlds, characters, and plots.

Unlike books you might find on Amazon, our worksheets are available as printables and as templates in your favorite writing program so you can organize your thoughts RIGHT AWAY without having to type out questions from a book or turn abstract lessons into useful worksheets.

Does structure actually help you be creative?

The difference between a pile of sticky notes or the scenes in your head is not the words themselves. It's the structure that ties them together.

Plot structures, character arcs, and worldbuilding systems have existed for ages because they work.

You might not always be consciously aware of the structure of a book, show, or movie while you're enjoying it, but you sure as hell notice when the structure goes wrong.

Have you ever watched or read something that laaaagged in the middle? Where characters changed suddenly and without proper build-up (hello, Game of Thrones season 8)? Where the final pay-off is just meh (hello, Game of Thrones season 8 again)?

These are all problems of structure.

A system is what helps you turn random ideas into an actual narrative.

This sounds like it's for planners. What if I'm a pantser or planster?

Hi, I'm Eva (author and founder of Scribe Forge), and I'm a pantser. Like you, I simply cannot write if I plan everything ahead of time (even though pre-planning would make things so much easier).

I use the workbooks in the Essential Fantasy & Sci-fi Writer's Bundle to bridge the gap between the benefits of planning and the joys of pantsing.

Instead of going through every worksheet, I build a few key elements that are essential to my story (like the magic system in a fantasy book) and leave the rest.

When I hit a wall because I'm missing info about my world or character, I go back to the workbook and use it to figure out what I need for the next part of my story.

When I finish the first draft, I fill in the rest of the worksheets with whatever I came up with and inevitably find ways to make my story stronger.

This process has worked for over 20 books and counting!

These worksheets still help pantsers write stronger stories, just in a different order than the planners.

What if I run into tech problems or lose my download?

Was this created with AI?

Nope. We are staunchly against gen-AI (hell, some LLM models were trained on pirated versions of our novels).

We've been selling most of the workbooks in this bundle since 2020/2021, before gen AI was a thing. All the artwork in the guides are licensed stock photos from human artists.
