The problem with some writing advice.

We're a team of USA Today bestselling fantasy, sci-fi, and romance authors. When we started our careers, we found that a lot of writing advice didn't work for us. The most common techniques left us overwhelmed and stuck. We didn't know it yet, but it was because these methods were by and for neurotypicals.

With nothing working for us, we developed our own systems and started to share them with our fellow writers.

Over the following years, each of us was diagnosed with some form of neurodivergence (Eva here, hi! I'm AuDHD). And many of the authors who had the most success with our tools shared that they were also neurodivergent (ND).

Turns out, in creating systems that helped us write and publish dozens of books, we accidentally made a set of resources specifically for autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD writers.

Resources for fantasy and sci-fi writers who have autism, ADHD, AuDHD, and other forms of neurodivergence.

Your brain is already loud. You don't need MORE ideas or more theories about what makes a good story (you probably have two dozen of your own).

Our tools focus on the steps needed to accomplish your goals. Everything is hands-on and practical with a flexible structure (that is, every topic is structured with clear endpoints, but you can do them in any order you want).

All of our templates and workbooks are organized for you with simple layouts that reduce distractions and provide lots of room for all your thoughts.

Tip: Eat the ice cream first.

If rewards don't work on you, give yourself the treat BEFORE you write or during your writing session.

Dopamine helps regulate motivation as well as the brain's reward system. In people with ADHD, dopamine is low, which makes starting a task more difficult. By rewarding yourself first, you give yourself a dopamine boost, which to makes beginning a task easier.

Build a cohesive fictional world without getting overwhelmed.

Confession from Eva: I once spent six years building a world and never wrote the actual book. Eventually, I realized I needed a clear, worldbuilding structure with an endpoint. A place where I could feel like I had done enough.

So, I created The Essential Worldbuilding Workbook. It has helped me write and publish over 20 urban fantasy and sci-fi novels (so far!).

It features quick reference charts that save you from internet rabbit holes. Best of all, the worldbuilding worksheets are already organized, so you'll always find your notes. Just open it in your favorite writing program and create.
